Monkey Sanctuary

Congo Trail, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

ATV Monkey Sanctuary Tour

This off-road adventure up the Monkey Trail into the mountains of Guanacaste is the archetypical Costa Rican adventure. You not only get to be in the wild and discover the exciting mountain trails, but you'll also take in breathtaking views as we ride to an elevation of 1,240 feet. And at the end of this exhilarating ride, follow our guide to the glorious Monkey Sanctuary. About the Congo Trail Monkey Sanctuary:  Orphaned baby monkeys are not always adopted by another family of monkeys; but, if they are found in time, they are brought here. They usually haven't developed the skills to survive in the wild, so the Monkey Sanctuary becomes their permanent home. Here, you will be able to visit with a couple different species of monkeys, including the famous Howler Monkey. You can feed these amazing animals. The Monkey Sanctuary rescues more than just monkeys. There is a petting zoo with sheep, horses, and a bull! Your ATV tour price includes admission to the Monkey Sanctuary, which helps defray the operating costs. Then hop back on your ATV and ride home via the Donkey Trail, or choose some advanced and challenging ATV riding (optional) down to sea level where we'll show you some different beaches.
