Here, you will be able to visit with a couple of different species of monkeys, including the famous Howler Monkey. You can feed these amazing animals. The Monkey Sanctuary rescues more than just monkeys. There is a petting zoo with sheep, horses, and a bull! Turtles nesting their natural environment is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you simply cannot miss. Our guides will take you to Playa Ostional where the annual turtle nesting migration occurs. Turtles nest at Ostional year-round, but peak time is during our rainy season from August through December.The number of nesting females turtles can be in the range of hundreds if not tens of thousands. The migration usually happens a few days before the new moon, when the majority of turtles arrive generally riding in on the high tide at soon after sunset and keep coming until 6 am the next morning. Not to be missed.

Palo Verde National Park is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy the diversity of Costa Rica’s wildlife. Guests take a jungle river boat ride along the Tempisque River, where they can see white-faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, birds and many of the beautiful species of flora that Palo Verde Park has to offer. The white-faced capuchin monkeys are very curious and sometimes they get inside the boat for a closer encounter! After two hours on this “jungle cruise," guests can enjoy a delicious Costa Rican lunch.
